diet pill scam... deceptive advertising used to sell weight loss supplements

I'm sure you've all seen it - Those typical before and after pictures used in diet pill advertisements.

These ads feature a before picture of a overweight guy (or women) then next to it is the same guy in the "after" picture totally ripped with about 3% body fat. There will usually be a caption to the picture that says something like "WOW! I lost an incredible 36 pounds in just 6 weeks with the help of XYZ Supplement."

This is all a bunch of Bull S**t. First of all if you take a closer look at the before photo you'll notice that most of the time the guy is very muscular. That's because diet pill companies hire armature body builders to pack on few extra pounds, and when the armature body builder had gained the extra weight they snap the "before" picture.

Now of course he has to lose the weight, and while this is a real challenge for most people - the people featured in the ads workout for a living, and they were never really overweight to begin with. So they just hit the gym for 6 hours a day like they normally would, and pop a few diet pills just to keep from getting sued for false advertising and once they're back in shape they can take the after picture and collect a nice paycheck.

The message here is not that diet supplements don't work because they do, but they're not magic and no supplement is going to give you six pack abs like the people featured in the advertisements. So don't believe the hype.
